How to buy and sell your home...at the same time!

So, you are considering selling your home and purchasing a larger one, but you don't know what to do. Maybe you're hesitating because you are feeling overwhelmed with the idea of putting your home on the market and then trying to find a new home in your price range and desired area. I know it's a lot and it can be a daunting process for sure.

Today, I'm going to share with you how to avoid the pitfalls of selling and buying a new home. Every homebuyer needs a plan to prepare for a successful outcome in the current housing market. I've developed the DREAM method for navigating the local real estate market as a move-up homebuyer.

D: Determine What You Want. This is the fun part! What do you want in your next home? What do you need? Maybe it's a farmhouse sink, maybe it's a home gym (my personal favorite). Determine what you want and have your list of top 3 must haves.

R: Recruit Your Real Estate Team. Your real estate team should consist of a DREAM Real Estate Agent and a mortgage lender. To know more about a DREAM Real Estate Agent and how to find one, search my YouTube channel, Lynea Carver.

E: Establish Your Buying Power. Your mortgage lender will help you understand how much you can spend and tell you how much to expect for down payment, closing costs and other loan expenses.

A: Aim For the Finish Line. It's time to go! Before searching for your new home, your current home should be prepared for sale. Work with your real estate team to form your plan of attack. Watch some of my upcoming videos for more on this topic.

M: Make A Move. Congratulations, you've found your new home and sold your current home and you did it seamlessly! Now it's time to make the move. Ask your real estate team for referrals to moving companies and get your utilities switched over.
